In 2025, Heinzel Group continued to integrate sustainable forest management considerations into its procurement practices. Regarding sustainable procurement, FSC ® certification was confirmed for the wood used in the PM6 paper machine at heinzelpöls in 2025. This certification ensures that the raw material meets specified standards for sustainable forestry. Therefore the proportion of certified pulp increased from 86% in 2024 to 100% in 2025,The share of wood sourced from FSC®, PEFC, or EUTR (EU timber regulation)-certified origins at Heinzel Group’s production sites amounted to 100% in 2025, as seen also in the previous years.Additionally, the group has taken preparatory steps to implement the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). These steps include establishing initial tools and providing information to customers as part of a step-by-step compliance approach. Also Heinzel Group expanded its internal knowledge of biodiversity by providing specialized training to the Global Sustainability Team. This training included a guided excursion to the Lobau area focusing on ecosystems, nature reserves, and biodiversity-related topics.
