All Heinzel Group production sites operate under certified environmental management systems, primarily ISO 14001. which define site-specific water management practices. These systems establish clear responsibilities, local water-related guidelines, and regular audit processes to ensure the responsible use of water across operations.Heinzel Group has set a binding strategic target at the group level for pulp and paper production: to reduce specific freshwater withdrawal by 25% per metric ton produced by 2030, using 2021 as the base year. This target provides the overarching framework for all water-related initiatives and shapes the implementation of additional measures at each mill – see E3-3 – Targets related to water .
